Snow Removal Information

The Public Works, Inspections and Police Departments request your cooperation with the following procedures during inclement winter weather.

Residential sidewalks must be cleared of snow within 24 hours of a snowfall.

In the event of an ice storm, sidewalks are to be covered with sand, ashes or salt within 24 hours.

Residents are not permitted to throw, place or deposit snow or ice into or upon any Township street.

Sidewalks that are not shoveled or treated for snow or ice may be issued a summons and if cleared by the Township, may be billed for such work.

When 2 inches or more of snow is predicted to fall, vehicles are not permitted to be parked on the street.

Vehicles may be temporarily parked on the grass area between the sidewalk and street, or the front lawn, or side of the driveway.

Once the streets have been sufficiently plowed, all vehicles must be moved off the grass strip or lawn areas.

Vehicles that are not removed from the street during snow removal procedures may be towed at the owner's expense.
